It was probably one of the quickest most gratifying decision I made when it comes to decorating that is. Friday afternoon it struck me. Yep! The light bulb went on. The dining room was going to be transformed. When we moved into our house almost 5 years ago I wanted a chocolate brown dining room and when I found the paint color named Sweet Georgia Brown I knew that was it, but it was time for a change. Let me know what you think!? This is the new color Wind Drift by valspar. I think my roots of the coastal life are coming out because this color just brightens up the space as if the light bulb has come on.
These ironstone platters all have such an individual character.
I enjoy each of there uniqueness.
This corner unit was brought home by my husband when we first started dating many years ago out of an model home that was being sold. It has moved with us multiple times and holds some of my favorite white collections.
This fairy garden is new to my dining room. She brings such a peacefulness to this room don't you think?
This is also new addition to my dining room since my last chandelier was transplanted over my craft table. To keep a casual feel I made a cover for the chain ( I call it a scrunchy?) out of some burlap I had leftover.

Yes! There's the light bulb going on for real. My so patient husband hanging in there during another one of my red0's.
This is a print from an old Ethan Allen brochure that came in the mail a few years ago. It fits perfectly in here in its chippy old white frame.

LOVE THAT COLOR!! I think it definitely looks better and looks like you need some seashells to go with your new coastal look. hmm?? Wonder where you can get those in Newnan?? Also I have that exact same mirror in my Foyer. How funny is that??

I really like the new color. Amazying how the same items look so different with a different color background. Great job!
I loved the brown but you are right the blue is amazing!! It looks beautiful! Great job!! (And I love your little fairy!! She is awesome) And tell Bill he did a good job too ;)
I love both colors! The blue is so cool....
The brown was gorgeous and the blue is just fantastic. I really like both colors. The blue does seem brighter and more relaxing even though I love brown. Your accessories are all stunning. Love the platters on the wall. Your fairy garden is perfect. What a neat thing. Thanks so much for joining the party. Great eye candy. Hugs, Marty
This is such a beautiful color! The wall arrangement with the mirror is gorgeous!
