Something so beautiful...YET

I have had two of these beauties for years.

I must say I felt like I have tried everything with these urns.

From flowers to shells to Christmas trees, and there was always something just not right.

Then Amy had made some moss balls and I loved them.

So I gave it a whirl....

DRUM ROLL PLEASE
!
<*>*<*>

The results were amazing.

I finally feel they are complete now.

Something so beautiful, Yet sooo hard to get just right.
Happy Girl :O)

Beginning to feel alot like Christmas...

I went up to my booth today to drop off a few new goodies I wanted to share with you that I have been working on.

Burlap Wine Bottle Gift Bags.

BELIEVE pillow with red ticking on back.

I brought some more ruffled paper garland.

I snapped a picture of the paper trees finished.

The place was buzzing with people.

Everyone seemed to be out enjoying the holiday weekend, I hope you are too.

Sneak Peak

OK, Tis' the season already in my house...
I finished putting up all 13 trees in my house and want to share the pictures....
Started taking pictures and wouldn't you know the battery died...
Though usually a simple fix, plug it in for an hour or so.
Well I seemed to have placed the charger somewhere else other than its regular drawer.
UGH!
This is what I did take a picture of though...

This tree is in my dining room. Crystal ornaments are from Target a few years ago. It's so sparkly in there..
So instead of being tooo frustrated
about the camera charger missing,
we will just call it a
SNEAK PEAK !
Blessings,
Kerri

Paper Christmas Tree

Most recently a friend and I were discussing more crafts with old books. This blog came up Urban Daisies. She had a tutorial on making Christmas trees with sheet music, so I had to try it out. I did end up making 3 of them and setting them on glass votive holders for pedestals. I just forgot to take another picture after. Ooops!

It sort of goes along with some other crafts I been making with old books.

We already pulled our Christmas stuff out last night and started so I better go get busy. My goal is to be done decorating by tonight. Lets see ??

Sewing madness....

This past week I celebrated my birthday. Nothing outrageously crazy just a nice evening with all my boys. My husband made us dinner. When I say he made me dinner I mean he FRIED chicken. Yummy! Yes, it was delicious. The boys had basketball practice and then we had ice cream cake for desert. Anyways I got a special gift I have been wanting for some time.

A sewing machine.

(happy dance)

Well I have been sewing my little heart out. Get back into the swing of it. It is sort of one of those things like a bike, once you learn you never forget. This machine is so smooth, quiet and most of all NO knotting up everything. Its awesome. So here are some of the projects I've been working on.

Pillow inspired by Pottery Barn and by bestest friend

Inspired by Country Living....

Well, its been awhile since I have updated...

I went to the Country Living fair here in Atlanta. The fair has never been to Georgia so we jumped at the chance to go. There was so much inspiration there. This was one of the ideas I had to try.

Yep.. Paper chains.
What a simply traditional idea made with old books. So I got to work. My children said "Hey I've made those before!"

Another inspiration from Country Living....
I'm sure this issue of Country Living looks familiar. It is the current November 2010. Well that little crow on the cover caught my eye. He just screams FALL to me. Well I have to admit I have never heard of a pie bird before I read this issue. There are all kinds of them though. Well look what a little angel found in a booth at the Flea across from mine Yep! isn't he AWESOME!

I guess its time to make an apple pie. Maybe?

I've been nesting...

No, Not the nesting your thinking about.

I spent the afternoon making these clothespins...I sort of felt like the mama bird I am making a home for these little eggs just like I do for my sweet boys. Lots of love, patience and time.

I don't know which set is my favorite yet.?

Sheet music..or burlap?
They work great on this memo holder...

Blessings,

Kerri

Numbers everywhere...

Most recently it seems like out and about shopping all things are getting numbered. I wonder if it is the sense that we all want to be organized? Well I started looking around my house. All I see are numbers. Here are a few of them.
In my kitchen..

Some pillows I made for my kids TV room.

The bar stools in my kitchen I stamped.

A goodwill find that I painted.

My boys bathroom organizer.

Some jars I embelished .

I am so bad about before and after pictures. I try and try to remember but that is definitely something I need to work on.

Have a blessed day!

Dreaming and Planning a master bedroom redo

Let me start by saying we live in a town that does not have a mall. We have alot of outdoor shopping centers but not an actual mall. Well yesterday my husband kept the boys and I had a chance to spend the day with my girlfriends.

Lets just call it Mommy R.R.

Oh did we have fun.

We head north up the highway and visited all the places we just don't get to go to all the time. Home Goods, Anthropologie, Pottery Barn... Ugh it was like a day of inspiration refill. None of us spent alot of money but what a fun day. I don't know if I was exhausted the most from shopping sensory overload or all the laughter we shared.

Which leads us to today. We had a great morning at church. This afternoon I am sitting here not being able to get this blog I saw a week ago out of my head...
This master bedroom spoke to me and is obviously still speaking to me.

So this is when the planning takes place. I am going to head to the basement, closets, and garage to see what I can find to make that change. On a shoestring budget that is . I know I will have to buy some white spray paint but I will keep you posted.
Have a blessed day!

I heart windows

I don't know about you but there is nothing more lovely than an old chippy window. Well recently a friend mentioned she had a few windows that she was looking to get rid of and was I ("YES") interested in. The YES of course was one of those moments when I couldn't resist but had to interrupt. Thank you Judy! >>

I hung it in my dining room over a side table I had in there.

I previously had this print hanging above the table but I have to say

I heart windows.

Don't you?

Here is some more window inspiration

mini clipboard from coasters

Well as most of you with children like me know, its time for "Back to School" and with that being said I too went back to work. I have the privilege to work at my church's preschool. What an amazing privilege to share the words of Gods grace with Jesus little lambs. This year I am the teacher for 12 amazing two year old children. With that being said, I do have an assistant that is AWESOME.
We are in our first week and I wanted to share with you something that one of the mommies made for me. I thought is was so special. With all the butterflies that the children have I know that the teachers have a little too. At the end of the day it made me smile.

I thought the idea was so cute. As I thanked the mommy and she told me what they were made of I decided to make them for my children's teachers too. So after work I ran over to Michael's and purchased only the binder clips and post its ( I was determined to use everything else that I already had in my craft room.)

Post its, binder clips, brads, Mod Podge

and these paper flowers that might look familiar because they were left over from my awaiting Easter post. Lastly but most importantly she told me that one of local restaurants Taco Mac had these long rectangle shaped coasters. So I asked the man if I could purchase a few and instead he just gave them to me. Sweeett!! Free!

So after rummaging my paper supply I traced the coaster, cut it out and began to Mod Podge it down.

I added a binder clip

Then paper flowers attached to the binder clip.

This is them after personalizing them.

Sending them in the morning with the boys.
